Lactation Support

I know it cannot wait.

Breastfeeding struggles can be distressing, exhausting and painful.

Whenever possible, I’ll see you within 48 hours so you and your baby get support quickly.

Home-visit consult

No matter the questions you have or the challenges you face, you’re not alone. There are ways of nursing to suit almost every family.

As a unique pair, you and your baby have your own distinct combination of anatomy, medical history, needs, values and issues. This is why solutions found online or from other mums may not work for you.

A consultation tailored specifically to the two of you and your family, informed by unbiased evidence information, will help us get to the bottom of things.

After listening closely to your history, concerns and goals, evaluating you and your baby, and observing your baby nursing, we will develop strategies that take your circumstances, values and needs into account.

Your post-consultation care plan, with a follow-up check-in, will help you every step of the way.

Other services:

  • Based outside of Bangkok? Or need support on your own schedule? I can help with most issues through a virtual, face-to-face consultation to provide personalised, real-time breastfeeding support.

Get in touch with a brief outline of your issue and I’ll get right back to you to advise whether telehealth will be the right fit.

  • Many of us have never been around breastfeeding until we find ourselves doing it. A prenatal consultation - individually or in a small group - can help you plan to get nursing off to the best start.

This can help you develop a birth plan (and Plan B) that supports your breastfeeding goals, help you build your supply and feed your baby if your baby needs NICU care, help with any concerns about your breast or nipple anatomy, set you up for breastfeeding if you’ve had breast surgery, or maybe you’re adopting a baby or you’re the non-pregnant parent and would like support to lactate.

Prenatal consultations can usually be done virtually, but I can tailor the service to your needs.

  • My background in international development brought me to public health and to direct lactation support, and I very much welcome opportunities to support those who want evidence-based information or to co-create solutions. This includes:

    • Hospitals looking to update their protocols or to pursue BFHI accreditation.

    • Employers establishing a enabling workplace for your breastfeeding employees.

    • (I)NGOs and policy makers seeking technical specialist input.

    • Journalists‍ looking for specialist input or fact-checking support.

Please feel most welcome to contact me.
